You would get everything here. It is popularly known as the shoppers’ paradise and it is worth the reputation. The country is home to some of the best shopping options in the whole of Europe. Apart from European standard souvenirs and international brands there is more to shopping in the country. Swiss army knives and liquor form a special part of your shopping list in Switzerland. The Swiss cuisine has evolved through centuries of modernization and tourism. However, still the Swiss cuisine is not popularly known for its delicacy but for its unusual combination of cheese and potatoes and meet. The style of food here is to keep it a little raw which is the traditional way of preparing food and to make it rich in its content. The various parts of Switzerland would treat you with differently influenced food items and tastes. The western Switzerland would offer a food that is influenced by the French style whereas the southern side treats you with the food with a little shade of Italian to it. It is amazing how the taste of the food and sauces turn a particular angle and become unique in it while being influenced majorly by the neighboring countries. The spirit of adaptability shows in everything Swiss does and that is one of the major reasons why it has emerged as a powerful economy in the last century.

The country is lined with options for you. There is a variety of things you could do and chances run high that you would fall short of time while here in the country if you have not planned your trip carefully. There is this exciting night life and there are so many different places you could visit and get charmed by and lost in the charm. The charm of the country entices you so that you don’t even realize that the time has just flown by. I have commonly seen visitors looking at their clocks in disbelief as to how could it have been so late all of a sudden. Switzerland welcomes you and lets you leave the country with a part of it in you and with a part of you left back.

Basel

The industrial city is popular with all business people and research oriented trips however, it has something for of you travelers of Europe. Most probably, you would not mark it as a top priority visiting place however; visiting the city could be good as this is where the action lies. There is a certain rush in the city’s normal life style that you would feel has set you up well to start your vacation king size.

Bern

The capital city of the Switzerland could be very enticing and welcoming for you. There are various sight seeing options lined across the city. There is this amazing astronomical clock that gives you the time of the day, month as well as the position of the planets and the signs of the zodiac. It is the only one of its type in the whole world and is a wonderful attraction for the visitors of the city. The city is known as the cultural heritage center of the country and it would be great experience. A trip of Bern would get you acquainted to the origin of Switzerland. Bern is special; the most special part of the Switzerland and you could not possibly ignore the city if you are visiting this particular country.

Geneva

Who has not heard of Geneva? It is home to more than 200 important organizations including the Red Cross. The city is the smallest metropolis of the world. Geneva has been mentioned time and again in the history of the world and of United States. This Swiss city is the place of aristocracy. Visiting Geneva is like visiting a place of such a huge importance that even if you don’t see anything here, you would be proud of the fact that you have set foot on that soil. The name is more than enough to put Geneva on the top of your list.

There is a lot more to Switzerland than what I have mentioned above. You would also get to visit the city of wine and purchase some fine and fresh liquor to take back home with you.
