The land of the Queen is what I would like to call the country. It has a long history and a rich culture of its own. The country could brag of beautiful scenic beauty along with an urban way of life where convenience is the key to living whereas the peace and cleanliness is the actual path. There is something for the adventure sorts’ people on the Scottish highlands and England’s Lake District hilly regions. The city life could be experienced in London. You could go to the south west side for the rugged shoreline and for the swathes of open National parkland. The UK draws you to it for a living. Every time you visit the place, you feel like considering it a home for a life time.

The UK is made up of four countries, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. England, Wales and Scotland together form Great Britain. The culture of United Kingdom is like a rainbow, a mix of varied tastes and preferences. Over the years, people have hailed from across all continents and settled here thus, making United Kingdom a different culture in it. Which is a mix of varied culture however, it is a very balanced mix and very beautiful as well. Like in rainbow, we could see distinct colors but can’t distinguish between them and can’t separate them. Similarly, in UK culture we can not separate one cultural aspect and influence from other. However, they are all very distinctly visible. It is pleasant to be a part of UK as there is so much adaptability in every aspect.

You would love visiting the following places in no particular order. Let me give you the seven colors of United Kingdom.

London

The bright and vibrant city with everything that a city should have. The cosmopolitan city has British Museum, the parliament, Big Ben, London tower and other British icons. The city is also marked with great shopping options. London is known for its taste of theatre, music and art above everything else.

Edinburgh

The capital city of Scotland has a university culture and thus your crowd all around. The city has a sensible way of life and is marked with libraries and popular book stores. The best time to visit the city is New years’ eve when the city hosts a four day long festival to celebrate New Year.

Manchester

The city is known for a dramatic 21st century cityscape. The city is 30miles from Liverpool. The city is notable for its inclination towards art, culture, and music. It is a cosmopolitan city which was called the first modern city of the world. This is one of the most famous places for architecture in Great Britain. The civic architecture along with its theatres and museums give Manchester an air of aristocracy.

Glasgow

Glasgow could be called the city of theatres. The city becomes active during the night. If I go by the colors of the rainbow, Glasgow is the blue. In the wake of the night the city rises and becomes a party scene. You could easily spot people draped in expensive clothes, drinking the most expensive liquor and enjoying themselves. That is the kind of life you would see in Glasgow. However, that is not all. There is a little bit of fun for all the sports lovers here. My favorite architectural monument of the city would be Lord Foster's Clyde Auditorium. Let me tell you that standing there and looking at the monument takes you to a different era. Glasgow is where I would love to settle if I ever have to choose a place for myself.

Liverpool

The Violet of the rainbow. It is the first color and also quite yet the most noticeable. The city was founded as a borough and was given the status of a city in 19th century. So, I could call it a newly acclaimed city. The city is also famous for the football clubs. In fact, Liverpool reminds me of The Beatles and there are a lot of places to visit where you could be reminded of The Beatles’ and thus a great city for all music lovers.

Apart from what I have mentioned above there is a lot more to see and feel in UK. There is Oxford and Cambridge, where we could check out the university and go back a little in our lives and feel our college life. You could go towards the north to Nottingham. You could be in the centre of UK to check out Reading. Moreover, there are so many things to live and experience in UK that you would be literally struggling for time to cover everything.
